ESPRIT Project EUROPRACTICE |
||
The European initiative EUROPRACTICE stands for Promoting Access to Components, Subsystems, and Microsystems Technologies for Industrial Competitiveness in Europe. The goal is a support of application of microelectronic state-of-the-art technologies by European industry in order to improve their competitiveness on the world market. EUROPRACTICE focuses mainly on three microelectronic technologies: application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), multi-chip modules (MCMs), and microsystems. The participants cooperate with several European silicon vendors such as ES2, SGS-THOMSON, XILINX, SIEMENS, and VTI, with software suppliers such as CADENCE, SYNOPSYS, VIEWLOGIC, and MENTOR as well as with device producers such as SUN, DEC, and TEKTRONIX. |
